Welcome to the Way Forward.

My name is Bruce Gerencser. I reside in the rural NW Ohio community of Ney. This year my wife and I will celebrate thirty-five years of marriage. We are blessed to be the parents of six children and grandparents to eight.

I spent twenty-five years pastoring Evangelical churches. I pastored my last church in 2003. In November of 2008, at the age of fifty-one, I left the Christian faith. I am now an atheist and a humanist.

The Way Forward is my personal space for fleshing out my thoughts on religion, politics, sports, technology, environmental issues, along with whatever issues I think are important to write about on any given day.
