Mental Health Break

blogging

I am on a week-long mental health break. You can expect to see new posts from me starting next Monday. Until then, I plan to publish several guest posts along with new episodes of the Sounds of Fundamentalism series, Songs of Sacrilege series, and the On the Road Looking for God’s True Church series. I will also be publishing archival posts that have recently been recently re-edited by my editor, Grammar Grandma.

I am also taking a weeklong break from social media. I will post all of the aforementioned posts to social media, but I will not be available to answer comments/questions or argue with Christian Fundamentalists.  Roy, Michael, Suzanne, and Carolyn will have their watchful eyes on my Facebook page. I will post any breaking news reports about clergy sexual misconduct. Sadly, the clergy abuse monster never sleeps.

Thank you for your love, kindness, and support. I’ll “see” you in a week.

Bruce

    I love you Bruce.
I had to take a break about a month ago. My mind was going to explode if I saw one more “Glory to God” post from one of my Christian friends (I have about 1000 friends on FB).
    Enjoy the break.

May your retreat renew and refresh you and Polly both. While I greatly appreciate this blog and community, and feel you do vital work, I realize that it must also be an emotional hell much of the time. As I see it, you are too compassionate towards your fellow humans for it to be otherwise. May your week be filled with love, laughter and free of stress. And may you have a week with a little less pain than usual too. Namaste.

Have a lovely break! I have the week off from the day job and am relaxing as well. Will be headed to the family cabin later in the week. Cyber hugs from Minnesota 🙂
