On the Road Looking for God’s True Church

As Polly and I travel the roads of Northwest Ohio, Southern Michigan, and Southeast Indiana, we are always on the lookout for God’s True Church®. Here are a few of the churches we stumbled upon in recent weeks.

Somehow, I highly doubt that California Community Church is as welcoming as its namesake state. That being said california is as large and diverse as any country with 38 million people and despite having liberal politics has several pockets of conservative areas especially once you get away from the major metropolitan areas(it starts looking like texas in some areas)

Mr Gerencser, I’m genuinely intrigued by your photos as the church scene is so different here in rural Britain. These pastors whose names seem to be thought the most important thing to have on their noticeboards. Do these men work as full time pastors? If so, one service a week seems a very light workload. I began to rethink my faith when I got prayer letters from missionaries who always claimed to be ‘busy’. On closer inspection, they did very little, one had a church of 20 adults for example and another sat in a coffee shop in Paris every afternoon ‘witnessing’ and expected ME to send them £££. It didn’t compare with those in churches who did 12hr shifts in factories or restaurants or had very difficult bosses and still found time to do ‘christian work’. I know you worked at secular jobs, do you know it Phred/Fred et al actually work or do they sponge on their flocks and have a very nice lifestyle?

Not to make fun of somebodys name, BUT there is a pastor on a board named Randy Genes. In the UK it could be the brunt of a joke.
