Christians Say the Darnedest Things: The Bible Has ALL the Answers for the Tough Questions in Life

bethany baird

We have tough questions. Lots of them!

What is true love?
What makes a real marriage?
Where will I go when I die?
Why do I struggle to do the right thing?
What can I do when I’m anxious?
Where did I come from?

The list goes on and on (and on).

Unless we know how to use God’s Word to answer our tough questions, we will get swept up with the most popular opinion. But God has given us His Word as a guide. We desperately need to know how to use the Bible to answer our toughest questions.

If Ms. Baird had taken a sex education class in high school she would know where she came from, but it’s doubtful she did.

The Bible tells us how to treat slaves
It tells us which has raped women should be stoned (the ones who don’t scream loud enough in an urban area)
It tells us that women and children are property
It tells us that there is none righteous, no not one
It teaches us that most people are going to hell

    Need I go on?

The naivety of this woman is very evident. I suggest she actually get married before she sets herself up as an expert on the subject for other women. She could try marrying a man with a personality disorder and/or substance addiction and then see how helpful the Bible is in those circumstances.

Yeah usually the answer involves thoughts and prayers and if not that, then killing your enemies. If your problem is being bald and you are being made fun of, all you need is two she bears. Now can the bible give me advice on the most important question, what is the answer to life the universe and everything.?
