I first heard about Rob Bell on a Ben Greenfield Fitness podcast in which Bell was talking about how people have been reading the Bible all wrong. Wrong to believe it’s inerrant, a factual historic record, etc. While I was already an atheist when I heard it, I thought it was interesting. If only fundamentalist evangelicals would listen.
