The Sounds of Fundamentalism: Harry Potter Promotes Evil Feminist Agenda Says John Hagee

john hagee donald trump

This is the one hundred and seventy-fifth installment in The Sounds of Fundamentalism series. This is a series that I would like readers to help me with. If you know of a video clip that shows the crazy, cantankerous, or contradictory side of Evangelical Christianity, please send me an email with the name or link to the video. Please do not leave suggestions in the comment section.  Let’s have some fun!

Today’s Sound of Fundamentalism is a clip from an interview of John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.

Why does every TV preacher speak with the same cadence? Anytime I hear that speech cadence, I immediately think: Scammer!

My youngest was growing up as the HP books came out one by one. Two or three times, one was released just before her birthday, I ordered from Amazon and had it arrive during her party.

My parents came for her birthday every year and every time one of those books showed up, my mother was completely horrified.

The series was ‘satanic’. And reading the books left one open to evil.

So I asked her if she had read any of them. If she was familiar with the stories.
No. Of course not. “But Pastor says!”

“Um, okay. Has your pastor read them?”
    “No!! They’re evil!”

I love that sort of logic, don’t you?

Kind of like ‘the Bible is true and the word of God!’
How do you know? Why, because the Bible says so!

Yes shapeshifting from human to animal and vice versa is totally FOR REALSIES and SATANIC WITCHCRAFT. (Ah, that is so fun to hear adults believing that fiction is for REAL).

My father-in-law was convinced that Harry Potter was evil. 5 of his grandchildren and his 3 sons and 2 daughtees-in-law,were,reading the books. So we asked him, “Have you actually read one of the books?” He admitted he had not so we have him a copy of the 1st in the series. He shut up after that. I give him credit for actually reading it.

If only….even sadder, he’s got a son who is just as bad, or maybe worse, than he is, so even when he leaves this plane of existence, we won’t be rid of his garbage….

The same John Hagee that was defrocked by the Assemblies of God for having an adulterous affair with a female congregant?

    Okay. Got it.

Just thinking about how I contributed to the “evil feminist agenda” today. Umm…I went for a walk on my own, bought my own food , then drove my own car to my job and finally went back to the apartment that I pay for with said job. Nothing really evil there…
