Fundamentalist Pastor C.H. Fisher Dishes Out the Truth About “Helliween”

ch fisher

C.H. Fisher is a house church pastor located in Asheboro, North Carolina. He recently published a YouTube video about the evils of Halloween, or what is commonly called in Fundamentalist circles, “Helliween.” Enjoy! That’s sarcasm, by the way. Be prepared to warned of the dangers of Satanism, witches, warlocks, and demons. Did you know there are more witches than Presbyterians in America? Me neither.

Amazing to get that much stupidity into only six minutes.
And made by people who aren’t able to research facts.
Yep, I trust them. No more HELLIWEEN FOR ME!!!!

Hahahahahahahaha! Okay, first, I’m totally going to wish people “happy hellidays” this holiday season. Second, if you want anyone to take you seriously, don’t use cheesy, poorly made videos with robotic voice overs to make your point.

Well how cute. He’s a special kind of stupid, isn’t he?

Although I did learn something, I had not heard of Plotagon before.
    I guess I’m enlightened.

    One more thing. (Sorry)
I don’t like stereotypes a whole lot, but they often exist for a reason. And here we have this homechurch preacher from the South… he’s making Southerners, preachers and people who choose to do the voodoo at home ALL look stupid.

I have finally arrived at a place where I don’t automatically dislike someone for being religious, but I’ve made an exception for this guy.

    I don’t like him.
    Boom.

Priceless video that begins with socially awkward garblegelical spouting and ends with blatantly shaming and cajoling: Excellent Christian content! The extreme Christian internal interrogation of the self is, in itself, a display of self-harm. There is no sense of balance in the expression and Babble verses are used to back up distorted, paranoid ideas. By the end of the video, children are being snatched from he street and sacrificed to Satan! Fisher has succumbed and collapsed in evangelical gobbledegook. The original meaning of ‘heretic’ was simply ‘free to choose’ or something close to that meaning. Fisher and his lot have chosen to embrace a belief that makes a mockery of human freedom and like all addictions, eventually leads to mediocre reasoning. Fisher proudly displays this loss.

Every logical question is met with a Bible verse and/or fear tactic rather than with facts or evidence. It’s the Satanic Panic of a few decades ago repackaged with awful graphics and robotic voices. The Christian legalistic comes across as the biggest asshole in the world – this is an effective way to sell Christianity? (I bet my brother who believes this crap has watched this video……)

1 John 4:18 states there is no fear in love. So one of Jesus’ alleged closest disciples denounces fear as an expression of love. How do we reconcile that with the constant fear tactics that are used in Christianity? The ultimate manifestation of this is hell itself. So does it make people love God simply out of love, or out of the pragmatic need to not roast infinitely if they don’t pledge fealty to him? This sort of Christianity is more akin to the teachings of Machiavelli than Jesus:

“it is much safer to be feared than loved because …love is preserved by the link of obligation which, owing to the baseness of men, is broken at every opportunity for their advantage; but fear preserves you by a dread of punishment which never fails.” – Niccolo Machiavelli

To me it seems the bulk of church leaders ascribe to Machiavellian tactics to keep their flock in line and fleece them on a regular basis. That also includes excluding anything truly fun like Halloween…unless you dress it up in another suit and call it a “Fall Carnival.”

It very deeply outrages and disturbs me that evangelical, Christian fundamentalist parents rob their children of their childhoods by refusing to let them dress up in Halloween costumes, go trick-or-treating, and go to children’s Halloween parties, just because of nonsense that Halloween in “Satan’s holiday”! All it is harmless fun of dressing up in costumes and having a good time.

According to even many Christian scholars, the real Jesus was not born on December 25. Christmas and Easter are not in origin Christian holidays, but are also of pre-Christian pagan origin just like Halloween. The insane hypocrisy is that many of these Christian parents who deny their kids the childhood joys of Halloween, with such blatant hypocrisy, reverently celebrate Christmas and Easter!

It is imperative that we prevent children from participating in so-called normal activities like Helliween. This way, they learn that they are the property of God and do not serve a base purpose in hiding behind costumes and collecting sugar treats to rot their teeth. More importantly, on the days when they must miss the fallen world’s celebrations for Satan, we should do Bible studies that focus on the eternal and ferocious love of our Lord and Saviour and the flesh-melting consequences of going your own way and ignoring the Truth of the triune God. Later, as adults, our terror-bound children who have been given to God from birth will gag uncontrollably whenever they are tempted to sin, to dress up and party and the like… All praise to the merciful Father who defines Love!
