The Sounds of Fundamentalism: IFB Preacher Nathan Rager Rages Against the Prom

nathan rager

The Sounds of Fundamentalism is a series that I would like readers to help me with. If you know of a video clip that shows the crazy, cantankerous, or contradictory side of Evangelical Christianity, please send me an email with the name or link to the video. Please do not leave suggestions in the comment section.  Let’s have some fun!

Today’s Sound of Fundamentalism is a video clip of Independent Fundamentalist Baptist preacher Nathan Rager raging against the prom. Rager is the pastor of Independent Baptist Church in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Whoa! Proms lead to sex, drugs, alcohol, STDs, stripping and a host of other sins? I knew I should have attended my prom.

You can be completely stupid, utterly left out in the gray share upstairs and still have a place to shit out your mouth in Florida. And get an offering! Pass that plate…. What a fucking shedding virus.

I didn’t know Southern Baptists were that liberal. Well I made it about 5 minutes before getting too annoyed. I wonder how much he knows about ancient near eastern mystery cults or the history of how the bible was put together. Christianity didn’t start in a vacuum but he sounds like one thats about to blow.
