The Sounds of Fundamentalism is a series that I would like readers to help me with. If you know of a video clip that shows the crazy, cantankerous, or contradictory side of Evangelical Christianity, please send me an email with the name or link to the video. Please do not leave suggestions in the comment section.  Let’s have some fun!

Today’s Sound of Fundamentalism is a video clip of Independent Fundamentalist Baptist (IFB) evangelist Bill Grady sharing his greatest racist jokes.

I thot it was kinda funny, especially the Jews wandering in the wilderness looking for a quarter.

Maybe it’s because I’m a Southerner. We’re used to people thinking we’re all idiot hillbillies. And even though stereotypes contain a grain of truth, I love it that, though I can be sensitive at times, I have a sense of humor, thank God, and admire others who do.

Anyway, it sure sounds like a lot more fun than taking offense 24/7. I like people who have the ability to laugh at themselves.

I admire Jews for their famous talent for making money. More power to them! It reminds me of Fiddler on the Roof:. “God, you made many poor people…. I realize it’s no shame to be poor. But it’s no great honor either!”
