What follows is a debate between Roman Catholic Trent Horn and atheist Matt Dillahunty.
Bruce Gerencser, 66, lives in rural Northwest Ohio with his wife of 45 years. He and his wife have six grown children and thirteen grandchildren. Bruce pastored Evangelical churches for twenty-five years in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Bruce left the ministry in 2005, and in 2008 he left Christianity. Bruce is now a humanist and an atheist.

I REALLY want the atheists to be right. Beyond a shadow of a doubt. I once was an active Christian, and left church because of all the craziness and obnoxious, neurotic people I encountered. I contacted Jesus for one reason, and that was to stop the karmic cycle of death and rebirth. One life felt like plenty. It takes too long to grow up . I’d often wondered if I’d even see 18. That said, I never read a Bible until I was 18- 19. I found the Bible very disturbing, once I began studying it. Took months. Knowing the prophetic chapters and yes, Judgement Day, I really hope Dillahunty is correct in every way !
