R.I.P. “Dr.” David Tee

dr david tee

No, Fake Dr. David Tee isn’t physically dead. He is, however, dead to me. Tee, an Evangelical preacher who lives in a dank, poorly lit basement somewhere in the Philippines, has spent the last two+ years responding to countless posts of mine, often personally attacking me and my friend Ben Berwick. Over the past thirty days, Tee has written twenty-one posts that reference me or Ben. He even wrote one post about MJ Lisbeth, a Transgender friend of mine and a guest writer for this site. While Tee does write some original content from time to time, most of his writing is response posts. Response posts have their place — I do them — but if a writer is not careful, he can look like he has an axe to grind — especially when his responses are always about one person; in Tee’s case, that person is me.

This post will be the last time David Tee/David Thiessen/Theologyarcheology/TEWSNBN is mentioned by me on this site. I know I said this before, but I really mean it this time. 🙂 You have my word dear readers: no further mentions of Tee on the Life and Times of Bruce Gerencser. I hope readers will appreciate how hard it is for me to let Tee continue his verbal defecation without a response from me. Tee has gone out of his way to make his responses personal. He has repeatedly lied about me and attacked my character. Tee even dragged my dear wife, Polly, into his attacks. People who know me, as many of you do, understand that it’s not in my nature to let Evangelicals shit on my doorstep without a response. Fundamentally, David Tee is a bully. I’ve never been one to stand by when bullies beat on others. And when bullies come after me, they can expect me to fight back. I’m quite willing and able to give bullies a verbal ass-whipping, or what is commonly called around here, The Bruce Gerencser Treatment®.

I make no apologies for how I respond to the David Tees of the world. That said, when it comes to Tee himself, I recognize that I have given his writing more attention than it deserves. Tee labors in obscurity, with just a handful of readers. His most important reader is God, a woman who has never clicked LIKE on one of his posts or left a comment. Most of the comments on his site are from regular readers of this blog. In fact, I can’t remember the last time someone other than a reader of this blog commented on his site. I guess what I am saying here is that Tee is like a gnat flying around your head on a warm summer day. Annoying to be sure, but of no meaningful significance in your life. So, the time has come for me to swat the gnat between my hands and wipe its smashed, lifeless body on my pants. Other gnats will surely show up and I will deal with them accordingly, but for David Tee, he’s just a minute spot on my pants. A quick spin in the washer will remove all signs of his metaphorical existence.

My final words to Tee are this (long time readers will appreciate the snark behind my final words):

Bruce Gerencser, 64, lives in rural Northwest Ohio with his wife of 43 years. He and his wife have six grown children and thirteen grandchildren. Bruce pastored Evangelical churches for twenty-five years in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Bruce left the ministry in 2005, and in 2008 he left Christianity. Bruce is now a humanist and an atheist. Over the course of twenty-five years in the ministry, Bruce preached over 4,000 sermons. Bruce spent thousands and thousands of hours reading and studying the Bible. 🙂

Good! There is something wrong with him but it does look like he’s been piggybacking off your success. I, for one, will NOT miss him.

I will not miss him. I will miss Betty White who only ever brought joy to the world. Tewsnbn should try to emulate her more, because he is doing great work for satan’s cause of deceiving people away from the truth by being attacking his enemies and in general being mean to people who disagree with whatever he says is the truth. he may copy and respond, but if that’s all he does, no one will care in the long run.

One small addition, for the record. Here’s Tee response to this post:

We Must Be Doing Something Right

    JANUARY 4, 2022 ~ THEOLOGYARCHAEOLOGY

Here is the latest news over at BG’s website–R.I.P. “Dr.” David Tee— He is going to stop responding to our content now as well. We will just point out some factual errors that he has put in that article.

“No, Fake Dr. David Tee isn’t physically dead. He is, however, dead to me.”

We are not a fake Dr. We have honestly met all requirements for the THD degree we hold. We just do not mention any details for the reason that too many unbelievers will trash it.

We get tired of being trash for our accomplishments and it is better to put the focus on God than ourselves anyways.

“He even wrote one post about MJ Lisbeth, a Transgender friend of mine and a guest writer for this site. While Tee does write some original content from time to time, most of his writing is response posts. Response posts have their place — I do them — but if a writer is not careful, he can look like he has an axe to grind — especially when his responses are always about one person; in Tee’s case, that person is me.”

He still doesn’t get it. We are not writing responses to his content. We are using those articles as material for teaching believers and what to watch out for. The atheist is rarely honest as you will see in the next quote.

“I hope readers will appreciate how hard it is for me to let Tee continue his verbal defecation without a response from me. Fundamentally, David Tee is a bully.”

This is why you do not use interpretation. it hides the true intent of the person being discussed and manipulates those readers into thinking one thing when the opposite is true.

We have not bullied anyone. We just analyze the content and display it in a way that shows why it is wrong. BG is free to believe what he wants. We have not tried to change him because according to scripture it may be impossible for him to return to Christ.

We have tried to understand his point of view, why he changed sides and why he is the way he is but those efforts have always been met with derision and rejection.

He calls it faux compassion but we really feel sorry for him and ask some of our readers who have the gift of healing to see if God would allow them to help him out.

We have said in another article that God is going to be the saddest person on judgment day. The reason that is so, is because he has to condemn his creation to hell and the lake of fire. BG is one of those creations and we would be sad to see him punished that way but that is the life he has chosen.

“I make no apologies for how I respond to the David Tees of the world.”

We are not surprised. We read his website and knew this to be his attitude. To us, it just shows us and everyone that BG and atheism are not better than Christianity but far worse.

We have not asked him to change his attitudes or treat us differently. Why anyone would give up Christ’s instructions for the atheist way of life is beyond us. They did not go up in status but down.

Tee labors in obscurity, with just a handful of readers.”

We do not care about this fact. We know that God brings the right readers to our website and that is success in itself. We do not have to reach millions to please God and obey his istructions.

We would love more book sales but the truth is in those works for anyone interested to read them. it is their choice and we do not bully others to read them. In fact, we rarely mention them.

We do not like marketing our own material.

”I guess what I am saying here is that Tee is like a gnat flying around your head on a warm summer day. Annoying to be sure, but of no meaningful significance in your life. So, the time has come for me to swat the gnat between my hands and wipe its smashed, lifeless body on my pants.”

Such comments only make us sad. The following comment makes us even sadder. he used to be good:

“Bruce pastored Evangelical churches for twenty-five years in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Bruce left the ministry in 2005, and in 2008 he left Christianity. Bruce is now a humanist and an atheist. Over the course of twenty-five years in the ministry, Bruce preached over 4,000 sermons. Bruce spent thousands and thousands of hours reading and studying the Bible.”

Do we hold ill will towards him? No, his post just tells us bad news and we are never happy when we see a Christian walk away from his or her faith. There is no alternative planet, or paradise, or even plan of salvation for them to go to and that is sad.

No Christians should be happy or rejoice when a sinner is sent to hell. Even a Hitler or Stalin receiving that punishment should elicit those emotions as they are again, another one of God’s creation that was destroyed by evil, and that is nothing to be happy about.

Pray for your atheist friends and acquaintances and hopefully, God will have mercy on them and bring them to salvation so they can avoid that punishment as well.

Bruce, that last sentence of Tee’s about eternal punishment…does he not realise that the idea of spending eternity with someone like him, a bully, a homophobe who is gratuitously rude, insulting and nasty, isn’t at all inviting?…..whereas The Other Place, which doesn’t exist of course either….is a very attractive thought….meeting so many great folk from this blog for a start. Count me in!

Exactly. Spending eternity with the likes of DDT is a disincentive. And Hell has all the good music. 😀 (commits Unforgivable Sin with malice of forethought)

Sir Ian McKellen said recently that half of Holywood is gay so a fellow atheist and I commented we can’t wait to meet in H***. The floor shows are gonna be sparkly, fabulous and spectacular. Hope to meet him – and you and Bruce – there. And maybe we can reserve the best seats……lol…. to see NPH and many other greats we’ve adored from afar…and I’m betting they’ll all be as nice as their public personas present them to be …..unlike those of Tee and his ilk!

Tee irritates the hell out of me with his use of pluralised pronouns, our and we. I suppose it makes him feel that he’s not the only person engaging him when, pretty well, he is. I don’t believe he has a legitimate doctorate: his intellectual and reasoning abilities are far too limited. There are hundreds of colleges (check out Nigeria!) that offer either fake doctorates or doctorates based on little in the way of academic challenge. The UK science and reason writer Ben Goldacre succeeded in obtaining one of these doctorates several years ago…..for his cat!

        https://www.theguardian.com/media/2007/feb/12/advertising.food

Tee’s methodology is, in any event, appalling. He hasn’t the least understanding of the word ‘evidence’ and the word ‘interpretation’ in this context. It’s completely the wrong approach to begin with a predisposed point of view (the bible) and pretend that evidence should be interpreted (manipulated) to correspond with it. Even for an apologist this is awful reasoning: were Tee ever to join the police no crime would ever be solved (though no doubt he’d support the death penalty!). Evidence is evidence, and doesn’t need, necessarily, to comport with some previously held opinion. What the evidence tells you is where interpretation can come in, deciding what the evidence suggests and testing different hypotheses until a probable theory emerges. I agree we’re all better off not thinking about Tee.

I’m not even gonna bother to read his posts. He linked to one of my posts but I’m not gonna give him the air time. He doesn’t deserve it. I can guess the content already. ‘BG and Meerkat are distorters’. There won’t be any actual, factual, logic rebuttal to the points any of us have raised. His claims will have more than a drop of dishonesty and manipulation about them. Goodbye TEWSNBN, I hope you learn that your worldview is not the only one that matters.

Tee says that “We have not tried to change him because according to scripture it may be impossible for him to return to Christ.” I thought the Bible said that with Christ all things are possible. Which is it?

I think you are better off without paying him any attention. He is a sad bully who thrives off the attention he has gotten from the atheist and liberal Christian readers of this blog.
