Christians Say the Darnedest Things: Evangelical Geri Ungurean Shares Her Ignorant View of Atheists

geri-ungurean

Recently, Evangelical zealot Geri Ungurean had this to say about atheists:

Find a person who not only claims to be an Atheist, but obsesses on pushing their atheistic views on others so as to recruit them; and I guarantee that if truth be told, and this person opened up about their life, you would find an ANGRY person.  You would find a person who blames the God whom they say does not exist, for something that happened in their life.

It’s truly sad.

There is a saying that goes like this:   “There are no atheists in foxholes.”  I believe this is true. A lifelong “atheist”  will cry out  “God help me” when faced with death.

VERY TELLING.

Do you have a person in your life who claims to be an atheist?  I have many. But I came to the point when I realized that God must be the One who gets through to the “haters.”  The more you push against them, the nastier they become. The more Scripture you give to them, the more they laugh.

Love them and pray for them.  There is a man on Twitter whose sole purpose for being on there is to tout his “atheism” in hopes of drawing others to his sad conclusions.

I watched this man for many days.  I wanted to say something to him, but it was as if God was holding me back.  I felt in my spirit to show Christian love to him and most importantly to Pray for him.

He finally opened up to me that he went to seminary and that he was saved during college.  He knows that my boys (grown) refer to themselves as atheists now. I feel that the Holy Spirit has led me in this friendship.  I pray for this man every day – expecting God’s answer.

I am hoping and praying that the Lord will bring him back. I pray for God’s will to be done in his life.

But I don’t for one minute believe that he is an atheist.  I believe that something happened in his life which made him bitter towards God.

Brethren, I believe that many of us have these people in our lives. Sometimes, they are in our immediate families. Sometimes they are friends or co-workers.  Show love to them and do not argue with them.

Most importantly, PRAY for them every single day!

The Arm of God is not too short to reach anyone, and that includes those who are angry with Him!

Evangelical Conspiracy Theories and Hysterical Thinking

lego store

It can be argued that Christianity itself is a conspiracy, complete with a mythical virgin-born, sinless God-man. This God-man turned water into wine, walked on water, healed blindness with dirt and spit, raised people from the dead, teleported from one room to another, and healed sick people. Then, at thirty-three, this God-man was executed, descended into the earth’s bowels to preach to people, resurrected from the dead, and walked around Jerusalem for 40 days before ascending into the clouds, never to be seen again. According to Christians, this resurrected, glorified God-man is sitting on a throne in Heaven, hearing and answering prayers, and magically performing millions and millions and millions and millions of miracles.

Evangelicals take the conspiracy theory even further, believing that the Bible is supernaturally inspired by God, and is inerrant and infallible. Meant to be read literally, the Bible provides Evangelicals with all sorts of conspiracy theories. Having grown up in the Independent Fundamentalist Baptist (IFB) church movement in the 1960s and 1970s, I heard lots of preaching on the end times, the rapture, the great tribulation, the antichrist, the second coming of Jesus, and the making of a new Heaven and a new Earth. With newspapers in one hand and their KJV Bibles in the other, preachers connected allegedly prophetic Bible verses with newspaper headlines. Sermons about Satan walking to and fro upon the earth, seeking to oppress, possess, and destroy people, were illustrated with nefarious conspiracy theories (i.e. grocery scanners were really meant to scan people’s hands for the mark of the beast, football stadiums were built to be used to persecute Christians and feed them to the lions, the Illuminati, trilateral commission, or the Rothschilds rule the world, to name a few.)

Today, thanks to the Internet and ready access to the news, Evangelical conspiracy theories abound. Rarely does a day go by that I don’t read about a new conspiracy theory that is a sure sign that Jesus’ return to earth is imminent — a message I have been hearing my entire life. For the remainder of this post, I want to focus on two uber-conspiracy theorists: Geri Ungurean, who blogs at Absolute Truth From the Word of God: Jesus Has Every Answer and Jeff Maples who blogs at The Dissenter (formerly Reformation Charlotte).

Several days ago, a mega-dairy of 18,000 cows exploded outside of Dimmitt, Texas, killing most of the cows and landing one worker in intensive care.

The Texas Tribune reports:

More than 18,000 cows died and one farm worker is in critical condition following a dairy farm fire in the Texas Panhandle.

The fire started Monday night at South Fork Dairy Farm in Dimmitt, about 66 miles south of Amarillo. The Castro County sheriff’s office, along with fire departments from Dimmitt, Hart and Nazareth, were the first responders to the explosion in the small town of nearly 4,200, according to the sheriff’s office.

One person was trapped inside the dairy farm but was rescued by first responders, according to the sheriff’s office. They were later flown to a Lubbock hospital.

According to the Animal Welfare Institute, the incident is the deadliest fire involving cows in nearly a decade. A statement provided by the Texas Association of Dairymen on behalf of the dairy industry expressed condolences for the incident.

“We are deeply saddened for the family dairy, and everyone affected by the tragedy that occurred at South Fork Dairy farm,” the statement said. “The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and we are deferring to the appropriate authorities to make that determination.”

In 2019, Texas authorized the facility to more than double the number of cattle allowed on-site from 11,500 to up to 32,000, according to a permit with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The state also authorized the facility to increase its manure production by more than 50% in that expanded permit.

While there are several possible explanations for the explosion, i.e. a methane gas explosion and fire, Geri Ungurean was having none of that:

Sounds to me as if they rounded up those 18k cows for the slaughter. I also think that this has Bill Gates’ fingerprints all over it.

….

Do you get the feeling that America’s food supply is being targeted? This is deliberate and nefarious.

COME LORD JESUS!

Ungurean’s fellow conspiracy theorists chimed in:

Comment One: Yes I certainly do!! It is not by accident that food and processing plants are burning down all over America. Come Lord Jesus Come

Comment Two: I don’t think the dairy biz is too lucrative these days but in all my years I never heard of one exploding like this one. Maybe the owners took an early Billie G retirement type 401k boost to look the other way + big ins payout. Ya never know what those good old Texas boys will do. They yes maam or sir u to death but in the end do whatever they want…that’s been my experience.

Does seem odd nationwide toxic trains derailing near rivers, food processors burning down, drinking water contaminations & the chem trails above (oops I mean contrails, wink, wink) keep up their toxic sky trails. Something like 18 food processing plants been damaged or eradicated by fire in the last year.

Also the Chinese buying up oodles of “farm” land near nuke style military bases & Chinese intelligence balloons sauntering overhead unimpeded. Thank goodness citizens in their driveways noticed the intrusion & notified our great defenders to check it out which they did after it crossed the whole country at its leisure.

Chinese now owning Smithfield (biggest pork producer in USA,) Billie G (not known for being the outdoorsy type) also made himself biggest land owner in USA & owns about 1/3 of all farmland in the USA according to Dept of agriculture. Just coincidence, folks, move along, nothing to worry about, the govt is here to help you. Put ur heads back into ur Facebook & Twitter, no worries ignore the big picture.

Comment Three: Nothin’ to see here, huh? Move along now…….

Comment Four: Notice how all these explosions have that wicked black smoke. Can’t wait til all these evil entities meet the Lord.

There is no hope of reaching people who think like this. Occam’s razor and a little bit of knowledge about how mega-dairies operate suggest that this was likely a methane gas explosion. Rural folks such as myself, who have spent their lives living in farm country, know that concentrated cow shit is not only toxic, it is also combustible, given the right circumstances. Certainly, there could be a different cause — say a Muslim terrorist attack 🙂 — but my money is on exploding cow shit.

On to Jeff Maples . . .

Today, Maples wrote a post titled Father Confronts LEGO Clerks for Pushing LGBTQ Propaganda on Little Children. Here’s what he had to say:

One has to ask the question: why is the LGBTQ industry so hell-bent on targeting children? Why is LEGO holding a queer festival in its stores to promote sexual deviancy to children who would otherwise not even think about such things?

To be clear, the LGBTQ movement and its various symbols, including the pride flag, have absolutely nothing to do with love. Friends, even friends of the same sex, can love each other—but it is not sexual. The LGBTQ movement is a movement designed for the sole purpose normalizing aberrant, dangerous, and violent sex acts among people of the same sex.

So why in the world would these people be so concerned about promoting such filth to children?

As the father, who is also a member of TPUSA, confronts the store clerks, he asks these very questions, to which they only replied with a call to security to have him removed from the store.

“The question,” the father asked, “is why are you all in here with those pins on? Do you think children care about what man sucks penis at home and what girl eats vaginas at home?”

“Do you think they care about that?” Amanchukwu pressed.

“I don’t think they think about that, personally,” the clerk said.

“Right,” the father said, “so they think about it when they see your pin.” At this point, security arrives to remove the father from the store “When does it stop?” he asked. “At some point, we need to stop pushing this mess on children.”

Maples, along with his buddies at Protestia, are well-known for their obsession with human genitalia. They think it is their duty to police what people do with their genitals — especially LGBTQ people — but have little to no concern about what Evangelical preachers do with theirs. (Please see the Black Collar Crime Series.)

Maples post features a video of a preacher named John Amanchukwu going into a LEGO store to make a scene. I found the video on YouTube:

The video must be viewed on YouTube.

Evidently, there was a rainbow LEGO display in the store. Further, store employees were wearing rainbow pins. Any fair-minded viewer of this video will conclude that Amanchukwu wanted to make a scene; that he is a bigot and a bully. This was no happenstance encounter, as the fact that there is a video clearly shows.

According to Amanchukwu, the fact of store employees wearing rainbow pins and the store having a rainbow LEGO display is evidence of the LEGO Company trying to groom children, making them targets of LGBTQ people, especially those evil, despicable transgender folks.

Amanchukwu explains what he did and why this way:

My six year old son goes into @LEGO_Group to find a LEGO set for me to purchase. While being in the store, we notice that 4 store clerks are marketing PRIDE FLAGS on their aprons, in a store that caters to KIDS! That’s disgusting 🤢. This is another form of indoctrination. What does your sexual preference have to do with cheap plastic toys made for kids? Why? When does it stop? Are there any safe places for children left? DEI is ruining America. The LEFT glorifies INCLUSION, but I was asked to leave the mall because I opposed the madness of GROOMERS. That’s not inclusion, that’s exclusion. The Biden administration has the backs of the LGBTQIA+ community, but who has the backs of INNOCENT IMPRESSIONABLE CHILDREN??? I DO!!! Going WOKE tanked Toys R Us and it has cost Bud Light nearly 4 Billion dollars. Is LEGO next? Luke 17:2 It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.

Amanchukwu would have us believe that he did this for his son; that he did this for THE CHILDREN. Really? All he taught his son was how to bully people. Worse, in the presence of other children, he said, “Do you think children care about what man sucks penis at home and what girl eats vaginas at home?”

Amanchukwu also doesn’t seem to know that LEGOS are for all ages, not just six-year-olds. My fifteen-year-old grandson plays with LEGOS — I mean EXPENSIVE LEGOS — and he definitely cares about that penis and vagina stuff (yes, I can see his red face from here). 🙂 I know adults who collect LEGOS and build all sorts of complex things with them.

No, the real issue here is that Maples and Amanchukwu have bought into yet another Evangelical conspiracy theory. The gays/homos/faggots/lesbos/queers/trannies — their words, not mine — are coming for American children, grooming them, and robbing them of their innocence. Never mind the fact that most sexual crimes against children are perpetrated by heterosexual men; children are at greater risk of assault by a stepfather than they are by the gay man who lives down the street; children are at greater risk of being sexually assaulted by their heterosexual pastor or youth director than by a gay man or lesbian woman.

As with Ungurean, there’s no hope of talking sense into Maples and Amanchukwu. Their worldviews are driven by hysteria and newspaper headlines. As long as they demonize others, and see themselves as defenders of Biblical morality, nothing can be done to change their minds. All I know to do is expose their wickedness — to use a good Bible word — for all the world to see. People need to know that the Ungureans, Maples, and Amanchukwus of the world walk among us; that their hysterical religious, political, and social beliefs can and do cause harm.

Christians Say the Darnedest Things: Unvaccinated Evangelical Conspiracy Theorist Gets Hives When She’s Close to Her Vaccinated Family

geri-ungurean

The Greek word pharmakeia appears in Galatians 5:20 and Revelation 18:23. Terms from the same root word appear in Revelation 9:21, Revelation 21:8, and Revelation 22:15. These are typically translated into English as “sorcery,” “witchcraft,” or “sorcerer.” Ancient Greek uses of pharmakeia closely mirror the generic modern English word drugs ; the same Greek root word produced English terms such as pharmacy and pharmacist.

Modern use of the word sorcery evokes images of supernatural power and spells; biblical use of pharmakeiadoesn’t fit well with such ideas. Rather, the term suggests various forms of drug abuse. Those might include drug use in pagan worship, as an addiction, or as a poison used to manipulate and control others.

….

Many of my friends know that I have been suffering with hives for over a year. When they first started, it was agonizing. I would wake up several times in the night, realizing that I had scratched myself to the the point of drawing blood. I was miserable.

I began to realize that there was a pattern to my hives. My children and grandchildren were jabbed and boosted, and if I was around them right after they received the jabs, I would break out in the hives.

The itching was so horrible. I finally called my GP’s office and spoke to one of the nurses about the hives. My doctor called me in an antihistamine called HydroxyZine. On the bottle the dosage said 1 to 2 pills every 4 – 6 hours. These were 25 mg pills.

I trusted that my doctor was prescribing these pills in a safe manner. I soon found out that he was not. After about 3 days on HydroxyZine, the most frightening and horrific things were happening to me in the night.

The first night I awoke about 3 am and saw faces which looked like demons at the foot of my bed. I clung to my husband and said to him “Don’t let them get me!” Of course, Tim didn’t see the faces, but seeing me in such a state, he commanded them to leave in the name of Jesus – and they were gone.

The next morning I sent a message to my doctor and asked if there are known complications with HydroxyZine. He wrote back almost immediately and said that this antihistamine could cause hallucinations in older people. I am 71 years old and my doctor has been seeing me for over 13 years. He knew my age and yet prescribed these devil drugs to me anyway.

….

Then my GP wanted me to see an immunologist/ dermatologist and I did. I have numerous autoimmune issues, and when the doctor heard this she said “Well your hives are Autoimmune hives and we really do not know how to cure them.” She proceeded to tell me to take 4 Zyrtec a day for itching. I told her that the bottle says to only take one. She said “I’m saying take 4 because of the extent of your hives.”

I’m glad now that I didn’t listen to her advice, and you will see why towards the end of this piece.

I called my Neurologist who sees me for seizures and scheduled a video appointment with her. I made a list of OTC meds and I asked her one by one if each was safe for me to take. She told me to NEVER take any “PM” pills for sleeping. I told her about the experience with the HydroxyZine and she was shocked that my GP would even have prescribed those for me!

….

My neurologist told me that the only medication she wanted me on was my Clonazepam (Klonapin) because I have been on that for over 30 years for my seizures. She did not even want me to take Zyrtec. Remember the immunologist wanted me to take 4 a day? The neurologist said that Zyrtec is not recommended for elderly people!

….

I know that many of my readers are older people. I wondered how many of my friends were taking drugs which were not good for them and could even cause hallucinations or worse – death!

Don’t ever forget what Pharmakeia means in the Bible! I had to learn this the hard way.

I even wondered if certain drugs can open up a demonic realm, and perhaps when I saw what appeared to be demons – may have been demons! Years ago, a sister in the Lord said to me that she read that if we could “see” the demonic activity around us, we’d most likely have heart attacks!

Just Pray This Prayer and You Will be Saved!

gods simple plan of salvation tract

According to Evangelicals, getting saved is the most important decision you and I can make; more important than choosing whom to marry, where to work, what house to buy, whether to have children, and should I wear brown shoes with blue pants? (And the correct answer on the brown shoes, blue pants question is NO! NO! NO! Polly tells me I am fighting a losing battle. What’s next, women wearing white shoes before Easter? Dear God, what’s the world coming to? If this attack on propriety is not stemmed, people will be wearing pajamas in public.) Check all the boxes on your bucket list, but leave the PRAY SINNER’S PRAYER box unchecked and your life is deemed worthless — lacking in meaning, purpose, and direction.

Also according to Evangelicals, life begins and ends with Jesus. He is THE way, THE truth, and THE life. He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Jesus, according to the Bible, is the great I AM. He is not only the savior of sinners, but he is also the creator of the universe. All that has been, is, and will be, emanates from God alone. This deity is the one true God. All other Gods are false gods. This means that the overwhelming majority of humans — past, present, and future — are not saved, will die unsaved, and as a result spend eternity in hell and the Lake of Fire.

Most Evangelicals believe that Catholics, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, Mormons, and anyone else who hasn’t prayed the sinner’s prayer, will end up in hell with Satan, demons, fallen angels, and Barack Obama. Saying the sinner’s prayer is the one thing above all others that matters in this life. These false religions are sending billions of people to hell because their adherents haven’t prayed the Billy Graham-approved sinner’s prayer.

Fundamentalist Geri Ungurean recently asked the question, Have You Truly Been Born Again — Or Has the Evil One Deceived You? Ungurean used the God’s Simple Plan of Salvation tract published by Robert Porter’s Lifegate, Inc. as the primary text for her post. As I will show later, Ungurean edited the tract to better fit her theological beliefs, but for now, let’s focus on what she says about how a person is saved:

If you were to die today, and God asked you why He should let you into heaven – how would you answer Him?

….

I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?

God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again.”

In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How?

First, my friend, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.

“ . . . it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . . without shedding of blood is no remission [pardon]” (Hebrews 9:22).

“ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Although we cannot understand how, God said my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie.

My friend, “God commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved ’ ”

Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Savior.

“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall  be saved.

Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

In Luke 18:13, the sinner prayed:

“God be merciful to me a sinner.” Just pray: “Oh God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple.” Yes, that simple!  It is scriptural. It is God’s plan. My friend, believe on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.

If His plan is not perfectly clear, read this over and over, without laying it down, until you understand it. Your soul is worth more than all the world.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Be sure you are saved. If you lose your soul, you miss Heaven and lose all. Please!  Let God save you this very moment.

God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved, there are five things to practice daily for spiritual growth:

Pray — you talk to God.
Read your Bible — God talks to you.
Witness — you talk for God.
Join a Bible Study — You will grow in your faith.
Develop relationships with other believers – Fellowship is so important!! – source

Here is a very simple prayer for those who want to know that they have truly been saved (born again).  God knows your heart, so He knows if you are genuine when you say this prayer.

Say this to God:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I understand that I am a sinner and I ask You for forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins so that I could receive Your forgiveness and have eternal life. I ask You to come into my life right now and become my personal Savior. From this day forward, Lord, I give you control of my life. Make me a new person and help me to live for You.  Amen”

If you said this prayer just now, I want to welcome you to the family of God!  There is nothing in this life that is as important than what you just did. And did you know that the angels in heaven are rejoicing over you at this very moment?

Pretty standard Evangelical fare:

gods-simple-plan-of-salvation

I would ask you the reader to right now stop what you are doing and take sixty seconds to pray the sinner’s prayer, thus guaranteeing your room reservation for Trump Tower — Heaven location. I’ll wait. Pray, do it now, don’t delay. Push pause on the TV remote, call a time out, and do whatever it is that you need to do to carve out sixty seconds to do soul-saving business with the Evangelical God.

Did you pray the sinner’s prayer? Great, you will now go to Heaven when you die. No more worries. Once you are saved, you can never, ever lose the golden ticket to your mansion in the sky. No sin is so bad that it is not covered by the ‘Get out of Jail Free Clause’ in your Eternal Salvation Contract — Evangelical Edition.

This kind of thinking is what leads people to conclude that Bruce Gerencser, the atheist, is still a Christian. Once married to Christ, there is nothing I can do, including blasphemy and adultery, to divorce myself from God. I will lose rewards in Heaven and I might be punished for my sins in the here and now, but there is NOTHING I can do that will separate me from the love of God.

This, my friend, is the bastardized gospel preached by countless preachers and believed by millions and millions of Americans. Is this the gospel preached by Jesus, the apostles, and the Apostle Paul? Lots of Christians think so, that is until they are confronted with people and lifestyles that offend their religiosity. Can a gay man pray the prayer, remain gay, and go to Heaven when he dies? Can an atheist pray the prayer, remain godless, and go to Heaven when she dies? Can an abortion rights activist pray the prayer, continue advocating for abortion, and still go to Heaven when she dies? Can a child molester pray the prayer, go back to molesting boys, yet still make it to Heaven? If Ungurean’s post is taken at face value, the answer must be YES!

Back in my Calvinist days, we called this system of salvation “decisional regeneration” or “one-two-three, repeat after me.” Much of the membership growth in Evangelical churches is based on the notion of people mentally assenting to a set of historical and theological propositions. Believe THIS and thou shalt be SAVED! The Bible, at least in some verses, supports this version of Christian salvation:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation….For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.(Romans 10:9,10,13)

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:30,31)

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(John 3:15,16)

However, in other verses, a far different plan of salvation is found. Take Jesus’ words in Mark 16:15-17:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.

Wait a minute Jesus, didn’t you say:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. (John 6:47)

Make up your mind, Jesus.

The truth is this: Christians have spent the last two-thousand years fighting internecine wars over which and whose plan of salvation is true; whose one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism is the faith once delivered to the saints. If this post makes it into the broader Christian blogosphere, rest assured, zealots for this or that plan of salvation will set me straight on what must be done by whom to guarantee entrance into God’s eternal kingdom — which is the final home of all believers, not Heaven.

Towards the end of the Ungurean’s cut-and-paste of Lifegate’s God’s Simple Plan of Salvation, she edits the tract to better reflect her personal views about salvation and Christianity. The original tract says:

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved, there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:

Pray — you talk to God.
Read your Bible — God talks to you.
Witness — you talk for God.

You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy 1:8)

“Whosoever therefore shall confess [testify of] Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).

Ungurean edited the copyrighted tract to say:

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved, there are five things to practice daily for spiritual growth:

Pray — you talk to God.
Read your Bible — God talks to you.
Witness — you talk for God.
Join a Bible Study — You will grow in your faith.
Develop relationships with other believers – Fellowship is so important!!

The original gave three things to practice daily for spiritual growth. Ungurean disagreed, so she deleted what the original said about baptism, and added two practices: Join a Bible study [not a church?] and develop relationships with other believers.

Ungurean also had a problem with the tract’s proscribed prayer. While her post leaves the original prayer intact:

“Oh God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”

Ungurean adds a prayer of her own:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I understand that I am a sinner and I ask You for forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins so that I could receive Your forgiveness and have eternal life. I ask You to come into my life right now and become my personal Savior. From this day forward, Lord, I give you control of my life. Make me a new person and help me to live for You. Amen”

According to Ungurean, if you pray her soul-saving version:

If you said this prayer just now, I want to welcome you to the family of God!

Did you notice the difference between the two prayers? Ungurean added: From this day forward, Lord, I give you control of my life. Make me a new person and help me to live for You. And there’s Ungurean’s out. Yes, getting saved is as simple as believing a set of historical and theological facts (what she deems as factual, anyway) and praying a prayer. But, those who are really, really saved give demonstrable evidence that their lives are controlled by God. Who decides what this evidence is? Why every Evangelical church, pastor, and congregant, that’s who. Behind all their talk about grace, most Evangelicals actually believe that truly being a Christian requires a certain way of life. Except for the grace-extremists who say that once a person is saved, he is a-l-w-a-y-s saved, (men such as Jack Hyles, Bob Gray Sr., Curtis Hutson, R.B. Thieme, and Steven Anderson believe this), most Evangelicals actually preach some sort of salvation by works. And that’s okay, because that’s what the Bible says too. In fact, the Bible supports EVERY plan of salvation.

Here are a few other posts I have written on this subject:

Are you saved? Are you sure? Can you even be certain? Or, perhaps atheists, humanists, and not-punching-my-ticket-for-heaven religions are right. What really matters is the here and now; what really matters is living life to its fullest; what really matters is reducing pain and suffering; what really matters is making sure Donald Trump and his followers don’t destroy the world.  When it comes down to it, Evangelicalism is little more than escapism. Evangelicals see the world as that which must be endured until death or Jesus returns. And while waiting for these things to happen — it could be today, MARANATHA! — Evangelicals withdraw into the safety of their Fundamentalist subculture — only leaving for work, shopping, ballgames, and making sure unsaved people live according to Evangelical interpretations of a two-thousand-plus-year-old religious text.

Let me conclude this sermon with the jailor’s question in Act 16: Sirs, what must I do to be saved? When you get the answer to this question, please let me know. Based on two-thousand years of Christian history and a myriad of books, blog posts, and sermons purporting to definitively reveal the way to salvation and eternal life, I think I can confidently say that Christians are hopelessly confused and divided about what Ungurean and her fellow Evangelical say is the most important question we will ever be asked. Until these purveyors of salvation get it figured out, what should the rest of us do? To paraphrase Solomon: eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die.

Works for me.

Christians Say the Darnedest Things: Geri Ungurean Calls for the Arrest and Execution of Dr. Tony Fauci

geri-ungurean

This writer [Geri Ungurean] believes that Fauci “stepping down” does not come close to what should be done with this man. I believe that a Nuremberg Trial 2.0 should be organized. I believe that Fauci, Gates and all those from Pfizer and Moderna should stand trial for crimes against humanity. These are CRIMINALS.

I believe that all of Fauci’s riches should be confiscated and distributed to families with members who are maimed for life; and to families who lost loved ones to the poison shot.

That would be nice, huh? [Fauci retiring to spend time with his family] I think that it would be “nicer” to see you (Fauci) in striped PJ’s [Ungurean claims she is a Messianic Jew, yet uses antisemitic language) awaiting your trial as a mass murderer of millions. And then when found guilty, you should stand in front of a firing squad. Fauci – if you do not repent of these crimes against humanity, you will spend eternity in hell.

Christians Say the Darnedest Things: Is Volodymyr Zelenskyy the Antichrist?

antichrist

Pastor JD [Farag] said something in this update that I’ll never forget. He said “We are not looking for Antichrist; we are looking for Jesus Christ.” And with that I agree 100%. But when world leader seemingly comes onto the world stage out of nowhere, we just can’t help but wonder: “Could this be him?”

Having said that, I am writing this article about a man who seems to possibly be that man of sin although we can only surmise this.

….

The readers are most likely wondering why I would want to take a hard look at this man. I will list my reasons. And before anyone proclaims that I am playing “Pin the tail on AC” let me just say that I am intrigued by Zelenskyy – not in a good way, but in a way which compels me to research him further.

  1. Zelenskyy came onto the world stage out of nowhere. Yes, he has been the president of Ukraine for a few years, but he was obscure and relatively unknown.
  2. Our World is preparing for Globalism and having sparked the Ukrainian/Russian war: it seems like a time for Satan to present his man (the beast) to the world. He will promise peace and security
  3. Overnight this man is known by the entire world and is being heralded as a hero.
  4. Zelenskyy is a puppet of George Soros who installed him in his position as president of Ukraine.
  5. Zelenskyy is a Jew and I do believe that Israel would receive him as messiah
  6. Zelenskyy graduated from Klaus Schwab’s Young Global Leaders School, so is officially on board with Globalism
  7. He has turned away from the God of his fathers – A Jew whose army has a great percentage of Neo Nazis!??
  8. He is a performer with a magnetism that draws people to him. His long running TV show was about a teacher who suddenly becomes President of his Republic
  9. **Read the article at the bottom of this piece to see the “Assyrians of Ukraine”
  10. He has no problem with violence as seen here in a campaign commercial

Brethren, we are just at the beginning of the story of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Please understand that I am not claiming that we are seeing AC in the flesh. Only God knows who the man of sin will be.

I am just telling my readership that I am taking a hard look at this man. I will continue to watch him in the midst of the Ukraine/Russian war. Many consider Zelenskyy to be a world class Hero.

Christians Say the Darnedest Things: 5G is Causing COVID-19 Infections Worldwide

5G is a WEAPON and Causes RADIATION CELL POISONING Which is HIGHLY Contageous: Remove Your Head From the Sand and Understand That the Powers That Be REALLY DO WANT TO KILL US!

Do you remember in the beginning of the so-called Covid 19 outbreak in Wuhan, China; the images on the internet of people in Wuhan dropping like flies in the streets? Are you aware that before the mass death which happened in Wuhan, there was another event which we now understand CAUSED so many people to instantly die. What was that event?

THE LARGEST ROLLOUT OF 5G TOWERS IN THE WORLD HAPPENED IN WUHAN, CHINA IN LATE 2019!!

Why do you think that scientists have NEVER been able to ISOLATE the phantom Cov19 Virus?? And why do you think that the whole world was “infected” by this so-called Virus simultaneously??? It is because it happened with the flipping of 5G switches across our planet.

And these so-called VARIANTS of Covid 19 are merely the governments of the world increasing the the amount of 5G radiation!!

Christians Say the Darnedest Things: There’s a Special Place in Hell for Dr. Tony Fauci

FAUCI: AMERICANS Will ‘Just Have to DEAL With’ Yearly Boosters, if They Become ‘Necessary’- FAUCI Will Just Have to DEAL With a LAKE OF FIRE for ETERNITY if he Does Not Repent.

And I do believe that there is a special place reserved for him in hell – a much hotter place indeed.

— Geri Ungurean, Absolute Truth From The Word of God, December 12, 2021

Ungurean added the following comment to her post:

I would agree that Fauci is full of hot air, but not senile. I believe that he is demon possessed and knows exactly what to do to expand this mass genocide and Fear. I call him Mengele 2.0.

No, Geri Ungurean, You Have Not Been Hacked

geri-ungurean

Geri Ungurean is an Fundamentalist Christian blogger. I have been following her blog since 2016. I have featured Ungurean thirteen times in the Christians Say the Darnedest Things Series:

In 2017, I mentioned Ungurean’s “plan of salvation” in a post titled Just Pray This Prayer and You Will be Saved!

Ungurean received a pingback notification every time I mention her on this site. In 2019, she left the following comment:

Hi there! Geri Ungurean here.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all of the free advertising.

I do hope that you will change your mind about Jesus. He would take you right now and save you if your would repent of your God-hating ways, and admit that you’re a sinner and trust Christ’s work on the Cross as payment for your sins.

I have a feeling that you will be resistant to this, but I will keep on praying for you. No one is beyond God’s reach.

In Christ alone,
Geri Ungurean

Earlier this year, I wrote a post titled Poking Geri Ungurean, An Evangelical Conspiracy Theorist

Here’s what I had to say:

— Start of March 2021 post

Geri Ungurean is an Evangelical conspiracy theorist. You can read here rants at the Absolute Truth from the Word of God: Jesus Has Every Answer blog. Ungurean is a Trump-supporting, anti-vaxxer, anti-masker hater of George Soros — who is Satan personified. Ungurean believes that Facebook and WordPress are out to get her due to her “truth” telling. I will leave it to readers to peruse her site and determine how truthful she is. I am of the opinion that Ungurean is a liar and full of shit. And the other day, I told her so:

geri ungurean comment

As you can see, I used Ungurean’s name to comment. 🙂

In classic tinfoil hat fashion, Ungurean turned my comment into a conspiracy theory:

You see, this person created a gmail account using my name. My gmail is grandmageri422.

This morning I wrote an email to this imposter. I told him/her that I forgave them and that I only had one response:

(Lengthy Plan of Salvation deleted)

God knows who the person is who responded to my article on George Soros.

I am asking the readers to Pray for this person. Yes – let’s corporately send prayers up to heaven asking our Lord to reach this person for Him!

First, I did NOT create a Gmail account in Ungurean’s name. This is a lie, and she knows it. Second, if she actually sent an email to the fictitious address I used, it should have bounced back to her. She would then KNOW that I did NOT create a new account in her name. Third, Ungurean published her FULL Gmail address on a public blog. This is really a bad idea. I was able to leave several more snarky comments in Ungurean’s name. Just having a bit of fun while I slowly die. Might as well leave this life being a pain in Evangelical asses, right?

My main beef with Ungurean is that she is a liar, that she deliberately spreads things she knows are not true (or should know if she did a bit of legitimate research). Ungurean is not stupid, but she has so deeply immersed herself in Evangelical dogma and right-wing conspiracy theories that she has lost the ability to think critically. Her writing is a good example of the pernicious nature of Fundamentalist thinking.

I genuinely feel sorry for Ungurean. She’s my age, a grandmother, so I know it is unlikely that anyone can say anything to change her mind. That’s what Fundamentalist religious beliefs will do to your mind. I know that was the case for me. Your beliefs keep you from seeing any “truth” but yours. And when you are in the Evangelical bubble, it makes perfect sense. Your beliefs and practices perfectly align with the “truth” of the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God, saying to you, Praise Jesus! I am right. To those outside of the bubble, however, you are viewed as a bat-shit crazy lunatic. That’s why many Evangelicals-turned-atheists can only shake their heads in disbelief and shame when they think about what they used to believe and how they lived their lives. I once was Geri Ungurean, so I understand where she is coming from. That said, I was a liar and full of shit then, as she is now. And that’s the truth.

Let me conclude this post with some of the comments on Ungurean’s blog about my comment. Funny stuff, to say the least:

Dale:

Keep preachin’ it girl! Heap those loving truth burning coals on their heads. People like this live on hate not love. If they knew Christ they would know real love. It’s not “feelie” or “gimmie” type love but love based on true commitment. John 15:13 describes the commitment part of real love & He did that for us undeserving sinful jerks. He loved us first, He saves us from God’s wrath, He sanctifies us, He keeps us, He takes us with Him at death, He keep us forever with Himself, He cannot ever lose any of his sheep. An excellent deal, and its free. He paid the entire price & He guarantees it FOREVER! The clear Gospel msgs we send to people like this may go unheeded but the Lord will on “J” day present these msgs as evidence against them. They will be without excuse.

Oh yeah keep the correspondence simple, its obvious this person’s vocabulary is very limited.

Jim:

Geri, whoever wrote you was a sick person. Keep preaching it. God/Jesus loves you. You are a very brave woman that you wrote many articles that were proven FACTS!!! Satan and demons hate the truth. The world are getting darker and darker. Time is short. I truly believe the rapture is very near. I pray this year, 2021!!!!!!

You will getting a crown in the Heaven.

Marianne:

I am praying also for this person now.

Bryan:

Take all of this as a ‘back-handed compliment’ from the “father of lies.” You have SO rattled his cage, so to speak, that he has resorted to plain old simple forgery and abuse. Then you’ve responded with Love and concern for the poor soul who satan has manipulated to attack you – it’;s pathetic really. As i often say to he enemy-of-our-souls “Is THAT really the best you can do?” (with as much contempt as i can muster.) If THIS is satan’s “master plan” to shut you up, then you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about!

I agree with my brother “Keep heaping on the burning coals” of Love, Compassion and concern, plus relentless resistance of the devil’s doomed strategies, then watch him FLEE!

— End of March 2021 post

As you can see, Ungurean is a conspiracy theorist. She hasn’t met a COVID-19, facemask, vaccine conspiracy she doesn’t like. Ungurean, a science denier, promotes all sorts of harmful ideas about COVID. Dangerous stuff. When Ungurean was just churning out bat-shit crazy Fundamentalist paranoia, I found her writing good examples of the beliefs that lurk on the far-right extreme of Evangelical Christianity. With COVID, however, Ungurean is promoting ideas and treatments that are materially harmful to others. As is often the case with people prone to believing conspiracy theories, Ungurean’s have become more extreme over time. The fact that she has a following of loyal followers is troubling.

As I mentioned above, I have left several comments on her blog using her name — five, to be exact. I told her that making your email address public is a bad idea, especially when your blog is not properly secure.

Just yesterday, Ungurean told a reader that I hacked her site:

I did not block you but I’ve been hacked. Trying to get things in order again.

At no time did I hack her site or do anything to affect the security or data on her site. All I did was leave five snarky, curmudgeonly comments.

Ungurean has turned my comments into a full-blown conspiracy theory. In a post titled (yes, this is the title) I Have Been Emotionally Tortured by This Man for YEARS. He has Written Lies About me on His Website: But Now He Has Secretly Come Onto Absolute Truth and “Ghosted” me Attempting to make People Believe That I am Saying Vile Things That I Have Never and Would NEVER Say! Ungurean stated:

When this man would slander me and say all manner of wicked things about me on his site – I figured that there was nothing I could do. I didn’t like it, but I dropped it.

But yesterday, as I was reading the comments to the articles, I was shocked. I saw my name and my picture followed by vile, racist and blasphemous words. My heart jumped inside of my chest. I kept looking and looking to find out how one of Satan’s minions had done this.

I finally figured out how he did it, and once again I blocked him from the site. Brethren, I don’t know how long that will work. This man, who HATES Jesus Christ, and in his biography says that he left his job as a pastor and then he left Christianity, has such a hatred for me.

But I must tell you that he angered me yesterday to a point where I was seeking legal help. I believe that him coming onto Absolute Truth and posing as me and making it seem that I was saying the vile and hateful words that he wrote; that he had crossed a line and perhaps it was time for me to get legal counsel.

Here is his hateful website.

Part of his biography from his site:

Bruce Gerencser

Bruce Gerencser, 64, lives in rural Northwest Ohio with his wife of 43 years. He and his wife have six grown children and thirteen grandchildren. Bruce pastored Evangelical churches for twenty-five years in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Bruce left the ministry in 2005, and in 2008 he left Christianity. Bruce is now a humanist and an atheist.

During the years of repeated slander and emotional torture, I wrote an article asking for prayer for this man. He taunted me for that. He may be one who has been given over to his reprobate mind by our Lord. And if that is the case, then it’s time for prayer to our Lord for protection for me and for this WordPress.

Brethren, I need prayer from the readership. I need prayer to withstand these attacks from the enemy.

I am considering closing comments for at least a while, in case this man learns a new way from his master to get onto Absolute Truth and wreak havoc.

Thank you for coming to Absolute Truth. Please know that if you ever see comments that seem like they are from me, but are totally out of character – just know that this man has slithered back onto the site.

In a comment she has since deleted, Ungurean posted my IP address. This is akin to publishing someone’s email address. I plan to contact Spectrum tomorrow to have it changed.

EVERYTHING I have written about Ungurean is found in the links posted above. As you can see, I have not, in any way, “emotionally tortured her.” As far as the five comments I left on her site, three were left in March 2021 and two were left on Saturday. Ungurean believes I have slandered her. I have done no such thing. For the most part, I have posted excerpts from her articles with no commentary from me. On three occasions (counting this post) I shared my opinions about her writing. She can get her panties in a bunch over my opinions all she wants, but that’s the nature of the Internet. I have had followers of Jesus threaten to murder me and rape my daughter with Down Syndrome. I have received thousands of emails, social media messages, and comments from Evangelical Christians threatening me with all sorts of divine judgment — often with graphic details. Ugly stuff. Some have written blog posts about me, deconstructing my life in minute detail. Do I like it? Nope. But, thanks to ten years of therapy, I have learned to accept that such treatment is what I must endure to continue providing help to those who have doubts and questions about Christianity or who have recently lost their faith. I must embrace Evangelicalism’s sickness so that good may come from it. Ungurean must also live with the fact that some people (like me) are going to respond negatively to her writing. As long as Ungurean attacks liberals, Democrats, atheists, scientists, etc., she should not be surprised when they take her to task.

After talking with several people close to Ungurean, it is possible that she has internalized my five comments and blog posts to such a degree that they are causing her psychological harm. I certainly don’t want to harm her, so I will refrain from commenting on her site going forward. I will, however, continue to feature her writing in the Christians Say the Darnedest Things Series.

Christian Say the Darnedest Things: Close Proximity to Vaccinated People Causes Unvaccinated People to Get Hives

geri-ungurean

Last week, I asked for prayer on my Facebook page because I was covered with hives – very itchy hives. I just realized that one of my friends had written to me and I opened it yesterday. I was so shocked when I read her message. She gave me permission to place the message here:

Hi Geri, I don’t suspect by your post that you’re vaccinated, and I’m not either. I’m messaging you, because I wanted you to know my experience with a miserable rash I’ve had. I get it whenever I get near a “vaccinated” person, and it seems more so with the Moderno jab. I break out a couple days after being in close contact with a jabbed person in the most intense itch that I’ve ever had in my life.

I have had poison ivy/poison oak from head to toe, where the doctor said it was the worst case he ever saw, so when I say this was worse, it was..the itch starts in my hands, and feet, and then spreads everywhere , it’s so intense that I feel like I’m going to lose my mind, and then a few days later it turns into a rash of blister type almost hives all over. I scratch so bad that I end up bleeding. Nothing was helping! I tried everything I could think of. I was terrified to go to the doctor, because I knew they were all jabbed, so I put a post out about it in a group, and a naturopath type doctor in there told me to make Pineneedle tea.

She said she’s been seeing a lot of cases the same as mine, even her own sister. Thank God in New Hampshire white pine is the state tree, I think. I don’t know for sure, I should check, but we have them everywhere, and we also have a Concolor pine tree that my daughter and son-in-law bought us for Christmas a couple years ago, it’s still on the small side but it smells and taste like oranges.

After about 3 cups of pine needle tea, my itch was 50% better, by the next day, 75% and got better from there. I’m good if I keep drinking it before I go out, and after I get home. If I don’t drink the Pineneedle tea then it will come back, the itch is not as intense as it was at first before I knew about the tea, but it will come back unless I do the tea before, and after. So I just wanted you to know that in case this is the reason for your rash. Hope if it is it helps.

And the [sic] I forgot to tell you, but my brother and son also get the itch and rash, only not as severe as I was. My daughter had a rash but no itch after doing a craft fair and being in close contact with jabbed people. God Bless!

I did have a video appointment with my doctor and he gave me prednisone which I really do not like to take. He also gave me a script for a medicine for itching. I am praying that the pine needle tea works for me AND that if there are readers going through the same thing, they will benefit from this information.
