I will not be posting for the next seven to fourteen days. I am quite exhausted, falling farther and farther behind. I need to take care of some personal things, along with catching up on my email, making a podcast, thanking financial contributors, and working on my book project. I am becoming increasingly frustrated over my inability to keep up, catch up, or even stand up some days. I need to take some time to lessen my frustrations. I hope to return to writing sometime after my birthday on June 19.
If you have a guest post you would like to write, this is a good time for you to submit it for publication.
See ya soon! Thank you for your continued support.

Rest up! We love and need you!
I agree with MJ. Taking a two week sabbatical from the blog is a smart thing to do. Come back when you are really rested and ready. Best to you, Bruce, and Polly too!
Sometimes, the most important love is self-care. Rest up Bruce, take care x
Rest well Bruce. A break will do you good.
Take care, Bruce. I hope you get caught up on everything you’re looking to do and have a celebratory birthday when it comes.
Rest well. Can’t wait for you to comment on the passing of Pat Robertson.
Take care my friend.
I’m sorry and I get it too. Trying to have a normal life is hard when one is in constant pain. Rest easy, knowing that if you can set everything aside for a week or 2, it will wait for you to come back then. Take real good care of yourself!
Take care, Bruce! Have a relaxing break.
Look after yourself (and Polly)
We love you Bruce and want you to take care of your self first and foremost. Hope to have you back in July!
Jeff
Happy upcoming birthday! I’ve enjoyed your short stories and am looking forward to your book.
Everyone needs a break sometimes! Rest up, friend!
Well there is an ongoing writer’s strike! It is near the solstice, which refers to the sun standing still, so you should too!
Good morning,Bruce. While I always miss your posts when you take a vacation from the computer, it’s because you need to just chill for awhile. I hope you and Polly can take some road trips when the weather calms down, too. I also enjoy your restaurant reviews when you’re out on the road. I keep hearing about ice cream made locally in the Midwest, how great it is. Good food is one of life’s greatest joys. Take care and have a good vaycay, you and Polly. See you when you get back.
I hope you get some good rest!
Take a break. To anyone who frequents this site you’ve clearly earned it.
Bruce: I just stumbled across your “Black Collar Crime” posts today as I was researching the same topic for my blog. I am still working my way through your site content and wanted to thank you in advance for this excellent effort! Sometimes we former believers feel alone surrounded by so many irrational family, friends and politicians, so it is refreshing to find a gem like your site. Unlike you, out of fear I am still a closet atheist. Yes, by all means, take a break and, hopefully, you can recharge. All my best to you and Polly!
Always in support, you gawdless infidel! May the bird lf paradise fly uop your nose (and so forth…) Thank-you for looking after yourself! In fact, words are just shadows we paint to point at a jot of what we perceive as light. Actions are what the children see and learn… Trust that you find time to lollygag and Pollywog during the hiatus….
Rest up, re-charge, get some stuff caught up, and take it easy. We’ll be here when you get back. Happy Birthday, in case you celebrate it before you’re ready to come back.
I want to wish you and Polly, and the family a nice Father’s Day weekend, Bruce .
