Trump Dump:Trump Says the Terrorist Attack in New Orleans Caused by Illegal Immigrants

This series, titled Trump Dump, features outlandish, untrue quotes from Donald Trump, MAGA supporters, and Right Wing media. If you come across a quote for this series, please send it to me with a link to the news story that contains the relevant quote.

Minutes after a terrorist attack killed fifteen people in New Orleans, Trump blamed the attack on illegal immigrants. Not long after, we learned that the perpetrator was a U.S. citizen, a member of the military.

When I said that the criminals coming in [illegal immigrants] are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true.

The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department. The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!

Dude was a US citizen and served in the US military. He wasn’t an immigrant. But right-wingers believe what they want to believe.
