Bruce Gerencser, 68, lives in rural Northwest Ohio with his wife of 47 years. He and his wife have six grown children and sixteen grandchildren. Bruce pastored Evangelical churches for twenty-five years in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Bruce left the ministry in 2005, and in 2008 he left Christianity. Bruce is now a humanist and an atheist.

As i read that I visualized an unkempt, sweating, frightening, out-of-control man ranting on a street corner to no one in particular. It’s impossible to impute any degree of sanity, rationality, or deliberation to it. Best case scenario is that our country survives this aberration with some degree of freedom and democracy and that this bizarre creature causes stronger safeguards to be enacted to control any future such chaotic persons from acquiring political power and control of nuclear weapons. Worst case scenario is we are all screwed and perhaps blown to Hell (or whereever). If we get the worst case, well nothing is forever anyway and we had a pretty good run up till now.
