This series, titled Trump Dump, features outlandish, untrue quotes from Donald Trump, MAGA supporters, and Right Wing media. If you come across a quote for this series, please send it to me with a link to the news story that contains the relevant quote.

Could the American flag be adding another star in 2025? Well, Trump’s idea of making Canada great again by turning it into the 51st state is gaining some serious traction, especially from Canadian citizens.

MAGA wants Canada to be a state, but they don’t want Puerto Rico to become one, even though a lot of people want it. Not racist at all. 🙄
Canada is a Commonwealth of the United Kingdom, and recognizes King Charles III as their monarch and leader. Someone had better remind Chump that trying to take Canada would possibly be starting a war with an ally.

I have been to Canada 3 times. Long before Chump, Canadians tended to view Americans as their mentally challenged little cousin that no one wants to talk about. I seriously doubt most Canadians want to be the 51st state.

I have a hard time believing that any Canadian wants to join the US. I live on the Buffalo, NY-Fort Erie, ONT border & I know lots of Canadians & citizens with dual citizenship. Most Canadians I know don’t want to be part of the US. Healthcare is #1 but there are also cultural differences. They are happy to come here & shop & then go home again.

Also ~ Canada is a huge country. If it was added to the US, wouldn’t it make more sense to add 10 more states ~ i.e., just make the Canadian provinces into states?

But that’s just not going to happen.

There are some roght-eingers in Canada, but my experience with Canadians is that they are proud of their country and DO NOT WANT to be part of the US. What’s Trump going to do, start a war with Canada? Who wants that?
