This site was down for over eighteen hours today. Thankfully, a friend and long time reader texted me to let me know it was down. I also received several emails alerting me to the problem. Thank you for taking the time to message and email me. Everything should be back to normal now that I paid the damn domain registration bill! I’ve been so sick over the last two months that I ignored emails that I shouldn’t have. My desk is piled with shit I haven’t felt up to dealing with. Lesson learned, but I’m too sick to care. To eliminate this problem going forward, I turned on the auto renewal function.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

My first thought was oh no something happened to him…. 😬

And then you got a hard-on thinking I was dead and now burning in Hell. You don’t give a shit about anyone. You will see my death someday as evidence for your miserable, disgusting, anti-human, violence worshipping beliefs.

Has anyone else noticed the comment count going up and down? I’ve been up to 143 and down to 139. I’m trying to pass Terri. 😉 But can’t if my comment score drops.

I don’t usually look at the comment count but I’m absolutely certain I wasn’t second on the list. Dutch Guy at least was ahead of me, but I’m sure Bruce is more concerned about the quality of comments than quantity!

Yes. That said, regular commenters tend to leave the most thoughtful comments. They understand how this site works. They are more interested in developing community than they are burning down anyone who disagrees with them.

      There’s a comment score? Didn’t know that! 🤣

You are always near the top of the leader board. 🤣 You have a routine you generally” follow as far as when you comment. And when I don’t see your comments I wonder if you are okay. I had to learn you have a “life” outside of my blog. Go figure. 🤣🤣

If I happen to delete or re-post an old post, the comment count will change. That’s why you are seeing the count bounce up 🆙 and down.❤️

Hey Bruce, I’m pleased to see you back! I was on the verge of emailing you then I reckoned I’d only be adding to something you already knew. I’m pleased you’re back. I’ll send a little something to help towards your costs.

I’m glad that you’re back. I’m also glad nobody stole your webpage address while it was hanging out there in cyberspace, ripe for the taking. 😅

      1. my understanding is that expired domains aren’t just put up for sale. generally there is a “grace period” — usually 30 to 90 days — during which the original owner can pay the bill and restore their site. then the domain goes up for sale. at that point, if the original owner decides they made a mistake, they will have to buy the domain (again) and re-upload their site from their own backups.

your site JUST expired, so i wouldn’t expect some other person to have sniped it already, and it SHOULD BE under the “grace period” for a while. 😉

Comment count? I could care less. I’m just here to enjoy the intellectuality of these folks and occasionally try my hand at satire.

I follow the comment counts, more out of seeing who’s active on my site. I’m always curious as to why people stop commenting.

“Lesson learned, but I’m too sick to care. ”

The treatment for my second life-threatening cancer has left me alive – but different. The first cancer, 23 years ago, left a legacy of not being able to swallow properly; no saliva; no teeth; ( and how do you have sex without saliva?? you can’t even kiss!!! sex is more than intercourse, right?) The most recent treatment has left me with a lung condition, which is incrementally worsening, and which the oncologists are unable to even diagnose: so it is all downhill from now. Not that i care too much.

    I hear your voice Bruce.

But on the bright side, your website is up and running. I was fearful that the universe had turned you back into stardust.

Oh great, now everyone thinks I’m all about the count. Where’s my rolling the eyes emoticon? 🙂

Sorry Bruce re: illness. Biker Dude tallied up mine equaling 6 weeks now. I’ve heard the phrase “long flu” going around. That would fit and added to the regular stuff, compounds everything else.

Grasshopper, just have to acknowledge what you are going through. 🙁
