This is the one hundred and twenty-ninth installment in The Sounds of Fundamentalism series. This is a series that I would like readers to help me with. If you know of a video clip that shows the crazy, cantankerous, or contradictory side of Evangelical Christianity, please send me an email with the name or link to the video. Please do not leave suggestions in the comment section. Let’s have some fun!
Today’s Sound of Fundamentalism is video clip of Kenneth Copeland telling Christians why they MUST vote for Donald Trump. This video clearly shows that Copeland is endorsing Trump. In doing so, Copeland is in violation of Federal law. The IRS should, but won’t, strip Copeland’s “ministry” of its tax exempt status.
Kenneth Copeland. You know that gaunt, skin-drawn body look people get when they start smoking at age 5 and do it for 70 years. That ugly mug of Copeland’s must be the look you get from a lifetime of being a fundie-in-name-only and sold out to money and the good life. If that mug was calling me to Jesus, I’d run like Hell!!!! Shucks. If I were a scarecrow, I’d run like Hell from that face. Look what the following video has to say about Copeland and his wife Gloria:
Isn’t this the same guy who used to preach the prosperity gospel to line his own pockets? I saw a clip of him saying he and his pal Creflo Dollar needed private jets because it gives them private time to talk to god. He uses Jesus to make his millions and here he is using jesus to push his own political beliefs.
Sorry but any christian who gives this greedy fraud the time of day is an idiot. Believers should denounce this guy as a false teacher and those that don’t know nothing of the bible they claim to follow.
Hi Bruce,
I thought this Copeland guy and his sidekick Duplantis had retired. They haven’t been on Perth TV for about 10 years (thank goodness). But, I see these charlatans are still up to their old tricks. It just goes to show that people who believe in subjective personal experiences of ‘God’ and that these guys are God’s ” anointed” and speak for an invisible being are very gullible.
Charismatic and Pentecostal crazies are still around and such guys as these continue to attract crackpots “like bees around a honey pot”, and they laugh all the way to the bank.
Shalom,
John Arthur
