The Old Testament is responsible for more atheism, agnosticism, disbelief — call it what you will — than any book ever written; it has emptied more churches than all the counter-attractions of cinema, motor bicycle and golf course.
— A. A. Milne, author of Winnie the Pooh
A lot of things in the OT are truly horrifying and do not support the concept of an omnibenevolent deity.
Well that genocidal maniac, called Yahweh, who commanded the Israelis to murder little children and babies not only of the Canaanites but (approx. 400 years later) also of the Amalekites is one bloodthirsty, violent, barbaric and ignorant savage who was created by an evil power elite (in their own barbaric image) to brainwash the ignorant Israeli peasants and to justify the actions of the power elite by telling their people: “God told us to do it”.
The OT is one of the most bloodthirsty and violent books ever written and more people should read it and reject the immorality of this book.
This violence against humanity also occurs in the NT when Jesus takes on the role of a warrior God and conducts a Jihad against defenceless people during the so-called Great tribulation when rivers of blood flow (book of Revelation).
