Christians Say the Darnedest Things: Paula White Demonizes Democrats and Non-Christians

Paula White recently became Pastor-in-Chief for President Donald Trump. Thrice-married White is a political hack who seems to have no problem with Trump’s immoral, ungodly, criminal behavior. Instead of being a prophet, White shows herself to be a whore for Trump. White is just another in a long line of Evangelical preachers who have sold their souls for bowls of pottage.

A cadre of Evangelical preachers have started a politically motivated prayer ministry. Called One Voice Prayer Movement, these “preying” preachers hope to carry Trump to victory in 2020. White is the chairwoman of One Voice.

On Tuesday, One Voice held its first prayer conference call. What follows is an excerpt from White’s prayer. (All words in brackets added by Bruce.)

Lord, we ask you to deliver our president from any snare, any trap, any setup of the enemy, according to Ephesians 6:12. Any persons, entities [Democrats] that are aligned against the president will be exposed and dealt with and overturned by the superior blood of Jesus.

We know, according to Your Word, that we can clearly call out every strongman [Democrats], whether it’s the spirit of Leviathan, a spirit of Jezebel, Abaddon, whether it’s the spirit of Belial, we come against the strongmen [Democrats], especially Jezebel, that which would operate in sorcery and witchcraft, that which would operate in hidden things, veiled things, that which would operate in deception. We come against it according to Your Word.

… As we’re dealing with those spirits [Democrats], God, we thank You that the blood of Jesus is superior. So any persons, entities [Democrats] that are aligned against President Trump, the will of God, against the mantle that he would carry, against him as president, that it would be exposed and dealt with and overturned in Jesus’ name.

Is “Jezebel” Kellyanne Conway or Stephanie Grisham? Hate it when people speak in code.

    Hi there! Geri Ungurean here.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all of the free advertising.

I do hope that you will change your mind about Jesus. He would take you right now and save you if your would repent of your God-hating ways, and admit that you’re a sinner and trust Christ’s work on the Cross as payment for your sins.

I have a feeling that you will be resistant to this, but I will keep on praying for you. No one is beyond God’s reach.

    In Christ alone,
    Geri Ungurean

      Thank you Geri,

Most of us here are in the been there, done that phase in our relationship with Jesus. We left him on the merry go round of dogma and have moved on to the roller coaster of rational thought for a much more thrilling experience in life. Once you get on the rollercoaster the merry go round just isn’t exciting anymore. Most of us, have at one point or another, may have reconsidered leaving depending on certain factors, but deep down, we just don’t believe the claims of christianity and realized Jesus is about as real as Bing Bong in Inside Out. I wish you well but we are not the choir and preaching to us is not going to be effective.

I hope you will change your mind about Jesus too Geri. I have feeling that you will be resistant to this though.

Sorry, Geri, but as you seem to already be well aware, poorly structured and considered arguments which assume things like agnostics and atheists “hating” God tend to be viewed as dishonest and really just don’t seem to be all that effective. Despite that, I’m sure you’ll continue to use them anyway. Have you ever considered why that may be the case, though?

Doug Robertson had a pretty good answer for this phenomenon on Quora. If you haven’t seen it before, I think it may be of some benefit to you:

Aw Geri, that’s so sweet. Many of us believe that the apocalyptic teacher Jesus died over 2,000 years ago and isn’t an active participant in world politics today. If you derive comfort from believing in unrealistic mythology, that is fine, but do nor expect others who have found your mythology wanting to be enthralled with the concept of a godling that was a blind sacrifice to its father/self to keep its father/self from damming the entire human race to eternal torment for existing in a situation the god itself created but house not to rectify for putting the immature race into a situation where it couldn’t understand the rules or consequences. But if your idea of a savior figure us Donald Trump, I feel for you.

Hi Geri! You didn’t read Bruce’s “Dear Evangelical” or, probably, anything else, now did you? Surely you didn’t think you found a hive of unchurched cretins, pining for answers, looking to fill the hole that Pascal said we have? As Trenton said, we’ve been there, we’ve done that, we’ve bought the t-shirt, and many of us came from our years-long experience (about 45 years for me) damaged. But it was sweet of you to think of us.
