This is the one hundred and thirty-seventh installment in The Sounds of Fundamentalism series. This is a series that I would like readers to help me with. If you know of a video clip that shows the crazy, cantankerous, or contradictory side of Evangelical Christianity, please send me an email with the name or link to the video. Please do not leave suggestions in the comment section. Let’s have some fun!
Today’s Sound of Fundamentalism is a video clip of con artist Jim Bakker and friends thanking Jesus for electing Donald Trump.
Jim Bakker is still alive???? I knew Tammy Faye died several years ago and I could have sworn he was gone, too. It appears the years have not been kind….he’s loonier than ever.
If Tammy Faye was still alive they’d be selling buckets of cosmetics too.
lol-That was fun! These people are like watching a soap opera. I don’t have TV, so I can’t watch them, but I used to listen to Glenn Beck-a very talented and funny man in the past-then he became a preacher and drama queen, and I stopped.
Anyway, these people have no power-they’re just entertainment for the lonely and bored. What actually interests me is why they’ve never gotten out of that same groove they’ve been in since they were 10 yrs. old? Oh well, fun to watch-but only once every five years.
I can’t get enough of this guy. What a video edit, too…amazing. Can’t decide whether to laugh harder or start crying at the realization that Bakker is probably rolling in the cash from this BS.
