Christians Say the Darnedest Things: Scientists Must Consult the Bible First if They Want the Right Answers

teaching creationism

As you can see, science is powerless to discover any alternative source for the origin of the universe. There is no evidence, no hope of replication or observation, in all of their theories. They are left with creating several fairy tales that they know they have no hope of proving true.

But the Bible knows all about our origins and provides the only answer.

….

The universe’s and our origins are not a mystery as science claims. We have a source that tells us exactly what happened. The Bible also tells us the force that created everything and that knowing this information is not impossible.

….

We know where energy and matter came from and we know that something was not made out of nothing. Our origin and the universe’s all came from God and to know this takes just a little step of faith.

Everything was made by the word of God so he would be worshipped and given the glory for what he did. This does not mean that we Christians cannot do science. It means that science cannot and should not be wasting time and money investigating our origins. It has been revealed and science needs to focus on more important things that are within its realm to investigate.

All it takes is a little faith in God and believing that he is capable and has the power to create exactly as he said. Many secular scientists will demand evidence to prove the Bible true. The biggest piece of evidence that can be shown to them is the fact that science cannot create any explanation for a natural cause or provide evidence that their alternative is true.

The unbelieving world has been shown physical pieces of evidence after physical pieces of evidence year in and year out for thousands of years. Yet they never accept that evidence because they do not want to do one thing– believe by faith.

It is a simple step to take yet so many people in the scientific communities refuse to do it.

….

To those of us who believe the answers to our origins are very clear. The Bible knows and it is telling all those who listen to it when they read its pages. Even the problems science cannot solve, mentioned earlier, are solved by the Bible.

….

Trying to go over answered ground is not science. It is an act of unbelief and sin. The Bible does what science cannot do- provide the right answers.

If “the heavens declare the glory of god”, why not consult the “heavens” themselves rather than a book written by human beings? (This applies to all of nature as Earth is part of the “heavens”)

    Umm…..what??? 🤔🙄🤣😂

This is why I see no point in discussing this and other topics with Christians. They say things that are total nonsense and contradictory, but somehow believe their views to be reasoned, logical, and sound.

You know what? As a Universalist / Ietsist I’ll admit that maybe a deity can speak the universe into existence, or that it all happened from gradual evolution. But it’s never made sense for a deity to proclaim eternal love one moment, only to become a bloodthirsty maniac the next. That’s psychotic.

Yeah and the sun, the solar system, the milky way all rotate around the Earth. Never mind a thing called telescopes prove differently.

Cults like Christianity represent the worst of the Human Condition, out of control misinformation, repeated as Canon, to the young, ignorant and vulnerable.

All while the cult leaders enjoy misbegotton gains at the expense of those they claim to be helping. Remind me again how many Lear Jets and Rolls Royces these assholes need to spew their lies?

Cults represent human anthropology and cultural evolution put squarely in reverse.

Christianity does not celebrate human life, only strict adherence to a death cult that promises eternal suffering.

Something was not made out of nothing…but isn’t that what you say, when you say everything came from god…didn’t he create everything FROM NOTHING?

    Theism is not logical.

And because of the equivalence of matter and energy, how could a god take any action at all unless energy (and therefore matter) already existed in some form? Creation ex nihilo makes no sense.

That word faith dead-ends all attempts to reason with the religious. It’s a logical cul de sac, an impenetrable barrier between the religious and the secular and even between religions themselves. No wonder religion is so pervasive. There is no way to refute faith with the faithful. They have faith that they are right and that anyone disagreeing is wrong.

Can something come from nothing? I don’t know what this “nothing” might be, because I live in a universe that, if my senses are telling me things correctly, really does exist. I exist. I have never experienced a state of “nothing”. What existed before the beginning of the universe that I exist in? No idea, I’m not up on theoretical physics. Was it this state of “nothing”? Today’s physicists doubt it, and as a scientist of sorts myself, I defer to them.

We humans casually talk about “forever” and “always” and “nothing” and our holy books posit creation, but consider that time, like space, is a property of the universe that we live in. Think about that for a moment. Time, for us, in a meaningful sense, started with the Big Bang. Even talking about what existed before the start of our universe is stretching the concept of “time” beyond what we know of it.

Christianity posits that people acceptable to God (however a chosen theology defines that) will spend “forever” in a nice place called Heaven, and that unacceptable people will spend it in a horrible place called Hell. As a geology student, I had to get my mind around “deep time”, that is, how old our planet really is, and how long the various periods that geologists divide that time into, really are. Human brains are not set up to really appreciate these chunks of time. What that exercise taught me is that we really can’t get our minds around “forever”. It’s a challenge just to contemplate how long the various families of dinosaurs existed, according to the fossil record, and various invertebrate families exist or existed far longer. Our species, which has existed for a very short period compared to the history of even our planet, has no business throwing around words like “forever”.

If we start with the bible and end with the bible, we have been running on a hamster wheel: much effort, not going anywhere. If the Bible has all the answers why is there no mention of handwashing, which would reduce the chance of infections. The bible only includes information available to local folks in Palestine 2000 years ago. they don’t mention China, which was known in Rome back then (there were official complaints about spending gold on silk, which was exported to Rome back then)

Why is the Bible infallible? The Bible is infallible because it says it is infallible. And if you think it’s not infallible, you’re going to hell. /s
