Christians Say the Darnedest Things: God Doesn’t Want Women to Have a Voice

lori and ken alexander

Wow! I can’t believe how often women talk about *needing* a voice. God doesn’t seem to think women need a voice.

He warns men about quarreling and contentious women.

He commands women to be silent in the churches.

He commands young women to marry, bear children, and guide the home so they don’t become tattlers and busybodies.

He commands women to have meek and quiet spirits.

He commands wives to win their disobedient husbands “without a word” by their godly behavior.

He knows women’s tendency to think they *need* a voice. He didn’t put them in authority in the homes, churches, or nations for many good reasons.

Women’s voices have caused far more destruction than anything good. Check out the Women’s Marches and women in politics.

God commands our obedience. He doesn’t want women having a voice to demand their rights and air out their grievances for others to hear.

Of course the irony of her telling other women they “don’t need a voice” is lost on her.

That, or her husband or some other man is writing under her name

Of course she can’t see the irony of her telling other women they “don’t need a voice.”

That, or a man is writing “her” stuff.

Aw, Bruce, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named has decided that if he closes his eyes and ignores me, I and all the dirty laundry I’ve brought to his doorstep will go away. Who else am I going to laugh at if you keep deleting his comments?

She once told wimin to use male obstetricians and gynaecologists so the female ones could go home, chain themselves to the kitchen sink and have umpteen babies. There’s a WHO statistic that 67% of the world’s (Note:the whole world’s) childcare and eldercare is provided by women. I’d love for her to have a medical emergency at 3am and be told in the hospital that there was no one there to deal with it as the wimin professionals and carers had all followed her instructions. She said wimin in trousers are sinful too, but I kind of imagine her putting her affrontery aside there so her life-threatening event can be treated by the few single females left – who will be wearing scrubs pants!!!!!

But ranting about the godless? Yes, then use your voice. Scolding females for not staying in their place? Use your voice. Gossiping about the pastor’s divorce? Definitely use your voice.
