Sounds of Fundamentalism: IFB Pastor Bob Gray, Sr. Says Whites Should Never Marry Blacks

The Sounds of Fundamentalism is a series that I would like readers to help me with. If you know of a video clip that shows the crazy, cantankerous, or contradictory side of Evangelical Christianity, please send me an email with the name or link to the video. Please do not leave suggestions in the comment section.  Let’s have some fun!

Today’s Sound of Fundamentalism is a video clip of IFB pastor Bob Gray, Sr. saying that interracial marriage is wrong.

It doesn’t surprise me, but it makes me sick. What a nasty shit of a human.

When I was a young teen, maybe 14, I overheard a conversation between our pastor and two of the elders about a mixed race family who had relocated to our town. All white town. No one with brown skin within 200 miles. They sprinkled the n word allll over their conversation. They weren’t worried that those people would come to our church, they were trying to figure out how to get them OUT OF OUR TOWN.
They saw me in the hallway outside their meeting room. Didn’t even stop talking. No shame at all over their disgusting racism.

People outside the bubble don’t even realize how awful it is in there until they escape.
    If they ever do.
